I loved the whole Sunset Warrior series when I read it years ago. Now, at 75, I'm rereading it, and it's still a great read with interesting characters, good descriptions, and inventive situations. Lustbader's action scenarios are terrific. I think he's an excellent writer and I'm always happy when I have time to sit down and pick up where I left off.

Read the series when first publish, enjoyed it, but my copies were destroyed by water damage, so glad these have been released for !
Great premise for the first book in the Sunset Warrior series. The ending rocks! Getting the next book as soon as I'm done with thus review...
Difficult to stay read, overly descriptive narrative with no apparent purpose and abrupt, puzzling transitions. In my view not up to Van Lustbader standards.
Big fan of this author and this is an old book of a series that I loved. Was glad to find it again and reread. Partial science fiction (without time travel thank goodness) and part drama.
The reviews of this series were right.
Everything is good. The setting, the characters, the plots within plots.

Have to buy the next book in the series on .

This trilogy is a great read for fantasy fans! Warriors, love, betrayals, magic, monsters, good versus evil, great stuff! I used to own this book back in the day but moved cleaned out the book self and was less for it. Found the books here on used but for a reasonable price so I'm getting reacquainted. Shame can't get this on the so I can read anywhere but maybe that will come.
A most interesting tale, in a most interesting place and time. Lustbader writes well and holds your attention, as his unbridled imagination weaves its spell and pulls you willingly through this and future stories. Found myself wishing for Ninjas and sophisticated, highly-trained heroes, then realized I might have them.
